Hi Alexei,
we usually switch the cardioid to east-north-east for a few hours during our late afternoon and early evening. But later at night, we like to turn it to the west to optimize for VO1NA and other potential TA stations. But it also depends on noise and lightning conditions as we try to steer arway from the QRN. And sometimes we forget to switch at all... Currently the F/B ratio is anyway not very good, mostly because of the different E-field sensitivity in the winter time.
