Strange, but no one decoded in FW2 (??)Hi Alex, during that night I noticed that WSPR-2 decoded fine at DL0AO, whereas FW-2 was also visible in the waterfall but did not decode. I think the reason was the PC clock deviation due to the broken NTP correction on your side. I think that correct timing is much more critical for FST4 than for WSPR, and it is also less able to handle frequency drift.

Another problem is that the Europeans "strangle" the distant reception of each other.At DL0AO and DF6NM, we try to mitigate this problem using SpecLab's "frequency selective limiter" (FSL). In the FFT filter box, you can draw a red line about 20 dB above the noise level. The FSL will then limit all strong carriers to that level. The noise blanker should be installed after the FFT filter in the L4-L5 blackbox. The only disadvantage of this method is that the strong signal itself (e.g. DL0HOT) will be distorted, and the decoder will not show it's full SNR.
